Join Us At The Memorial Day Ceremony – Anthem Veterans Memorial – May 29 at 9 a.m.

A Memorial Day Ceremony, “A Day of Remembrance,” will be held at the Anthem Veterans Memorial on Monday, May 29 at 9 a.m. Please note that this time is a change from previous years, due to a trend of high temperatures.

Lt. Col. David Clukey (USA), will deliver the keynote address; Lt. Col. John Simmons (USAF, Retired) will serve as the Master of Ceremonies, and the Air Force Jr. ROTC cadets from Sandra Day O’Connor High School will assist before and during the ceremony. Special music will be provided by ProMusica for the occasion.

Roses will be laid upon the pavers of all servicemen and women Killed in Action, and a bell will be rung to remember each of them.

A POW/MIA table will be set, and a special ceremony will be conducted by Lt. Col. Simmons, Capt. Matthew Peterson (USA) and SFC Kristy Frandsen (USA), to remember those who cannot be with us – those whom we will never forget.
