VA Benefits Resources

Hello and welcome to the Daisy Mountain Veterans Benefits Resource page! We often get asked if we have a Benefits Officer and unfortunately we do not. We do, however, have individuals who have gone through the VA process to become registered and become a member of the VA community. Together we can help guide Veterans through this process. Once registered, this enables you to take advantage of the many services and benefits you’ve earned as a member of the United States Armed Forces. This may include, but is not limited to, disability compensation, medical, and mental health services. We hope this information helps you in your quest as you navigate this process.

Creating a VA account

  1. Create an account at https://www.va.gov/ – This is a very straightforward process and easy to do.
  2. Decide which verification tool you will use – The VA oursources its 2-Step Verification process to enhance the security of your information. The one used frequently is www.id.me. Once this tool is set up it will send a secure code to the phone on record. Once the code is entered the Veteran will be directed back to the VA website.
  3. On the VA homepage there is a wealth of information, programs, services, benefits, and online forms you will have access to.
